Eleven glorious days of wine tasting events, cooking demonstrations, wine dinners, live music, food and wine pairing classes, progressive wine dinners, art and wine shows, and of course, our fabulous sunsets, scuba diving, fishing, many tourist attractions, shopping, and a great time!
This year UNCORKED will feature an International Chef exchange with visiting British celebrity chef and cook book author Tony Leck from Guernsey in the British Channel Islands. His cook book ‘Pavilion on a Plate’ has received rave reviews not to mention Winner in the Gourmand World Cook Book Awards 2012, Winner of best cook book, ‘London Book Festival 2012’ and an Honorable Mention at the 2012 New York Book Festival. Chef Tony will be joining local chefs in a number of events throughout the Festival.
The festival highlight is scheduled for Saturday January 16th, the Grand Tasting is a multi-sensory experience not to be missed. Area restaurants and wine experts will come together to present samples of their finest cuisine and world-class wines. Live music, celebrity chef appearances and cooking demos combine to serve up the recipe for a spectacular afternoon of tasting in the fabulous Florida Keys.
The Grand Tasting event will be held right by the ocean on the beautiful grounds of the Pelican Cove Resort and Marina at MM 84.5 in Islamorada (approx. 90 minutes from MIA).
